The clutch feels great and the tires are in awesome shape. It will need some work for a sticker but would make a great car. The body has some blemishes on it and the quarters have some rust. Seller's comments and description: 1976 toyota celica gt coupe. I would call this a barn find but its more like a cool old car that was dug out of a over packed senior citizens garage. It was purchased new in oklahoma and brought to the pacific north west when they were transferred by the military in the 80's. It was used by the same family until mid 90s as a daily driver for a work vehicle and as a second car. During that era the family purchased a new car making this car the back up car that was used rarely and eventually was engulfed in a overgrown garage. I was told of the cars existence thru word of mouth and purchased it from the couple. After a bit of manipulating out of the garage this very clean example of 70s japanese automobile history was set to rejoin the world. I was very amazed how non molested the car was and that the couple had taken very nice car of the interior and still having original running gear and a extra clean interior. Upon towing it home i commenced on getting it fired up. After a bit of probing i changed all the fluids out and discovered the fuel pump was in need of repair. A fresh battery, fuel pump and crossed fingers i started her up. A quick couple of pumps on the accelerator and the gt roared to life. A nice smooth chocked idle giving way a smooth warmed idle. The engine compartment is all original down to factory air pump and alternator, air conditioning. The interior is looks to be well cared for no rips in seats or cracks in dash. All gauges works including factory digital analysis monitor. Factory am-fm still works. All lights are working and the key on buzzer also. So the time came to take her for a ride. After airing up a low tire i pulled out of my driveway. The gt rolled right up to 55 shitting smoothly thru all five gears. The pirelli p44s that were installed in the 80s on the gt sport wheels, were a bit stiff and flat spotted, they have since been replaced. I can say i was pleased how well the car performed for not seeing the road in nearly 20 years . After inspection the car is really clean and original. The car has just turned 101k miles. Some were the car was repainted and is very faded. There is very little rust on this car. A small spot on lip of trunk lid and a couple small bubbled spot under the vinyl top. The underside is clean and rust free. Still has its factory exhaust system including muffler and exhaust system. Details agesexbreed adult both airedale terrier contact seller. Seller's comments and description: it has very nice newer paint. Base/clear painted the original color "cortez silver". The body is laser straight. There are really no known blemishes. Definitely above driver quality. The interior is all original with the exception of new carpet. The bumpers are like new condition. All the stainless is very nice and straight. All the lights work including the reverse lights. All the lenses are in like new condition. The overall fit and finish is very nice. Interior:the gauges are clear and the chrome bezels are like new. Everything works as they should. Headliner is perfect. It retains all the original seatbelts. The seats are original and are in like new condition. Door panels are in very good condition as well. Console with horseshoe shifter is very nice. The glass is all original and in excellent condition. Side windows have typical roll up and down scratches but are very clear and nice. Drivetrain:not original 350 c. Rebuilt approx. 7,000 miles ago. Very nice streetable cam. Edelbrock aluminum intake. New holley 650 carb. New aluminized 2 1/2" exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. Runs great and sounds amazing!!!! A/c compressor is missing. With stall converter and shift kit. Shifts very strong. 10 bolt posi. Front disc brakes and rear drums. Air Conditioning
